In the 2009 Top Shot Challenge Cup the players were set the avoidable target of hitting the computer generated targets on demand. Pressure mounted and the temperature dropped, with a stewards inquiry mid way through to see if Phil was frozen solid. With miss hits resulting in negative scoring Toby and Jack leveraged the feature with a first round respective score of -26 and -12. Nick the Greek showed true poise, style and inimitable form throughout both rounds taking a clear lead ahead of Phil and the group which he maintained to clinch the cup.

Chessher Cup Commentary
Chessher Austrlia Cup Challenge
Winners: Team Chessher Rounds 1 and 2
Individual Player of Round 2: 1st Phil, 2nd Oz, 3rd Jason
Team Alban had three options on entering in this match, they could win or they could lose. In comparison, there was no comparison between the teams. The game was balanced in Team Chessher's favour front the start. With 4 minutes gone, the score was already 0-0 and in slow motion replay, the ball seemed to hang in the air for even longer. Chessher viewed that "you don't score 64 points in a game at the highest level without being able to score a point. We simply threw our dice into the ring and turned up trumps". Nick the Greek, semi-professional ringer of Team Alban viewed said "we didn't underestimate them, they were a lot better than we thought. If we played like that every week we wouldn't be so inconsistent". The game came to a stand-off final ball with all points riding on the final point. Phil said "I'm not a believer in luck, but I do believe you need it".
